THE MOVEMENT EXPERTS

"If it has to do with movement ... we can help!"

At FIT we want to see all people of all ages become more active and healthy. That is why we put Physical Therapists and licensed professionals on staff within the gym.  Our team is comprised of uniquely equipped healthcare providers trained to bridge the gap between medicine and wellness.  No matter the condition, phase of life, or disease, "IF IT HAS TO DO WITH MOVEMENT, WE CAN HELP."  We recognize the back log in the heath care field and strive to make treatment options clear, simple, effective, and individualized to save our patients valuable time and money.  Additionally, we have access to the functional movement gym FIT Grand Junction and often help people prepare for ongoing wellness routines with oversight of their training.

Dr. Meredith Bremner DPT

Dr. Meredith Bremner is the founder of FIT Grand Junction Physical Therapy and co-founder of FIT Grand Junction.

While earning her doctorate at the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver, Meredith Bremner was drawn to both neurologic rehabilitation and sports medicine and was selected for internships at Children's Hospital Sports Medicine Rehab and Craig Hospital to treat patients with spinal cord injury and brain injury. During her time at Craig Hospital, she treated patients in both outpatient and inpatient and developed an appreciation for spinal pathology and functional movement impairments. She spent a total of 3 years at Craig but was drawn back to sports medicine and general orthopedic rehabilitation with the desire to treat patients who would like to return to sport and optimal functional capacity.

She grew up in Evergreen, Summit County, and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She competed nationally and internationally in downhill and Nordic ski racing and road cycling; training and traveling with the US Junior National Cycling Team and US Ski Team. During her athletic career, she earned 5 state titles, 5 top 3 finishes at Nationals for skiing and cycling, and traveled to Austria, Germany, France, New Zealand, and around the country to compete for the US.

Sean Kuttner, CPT, PTA

Sean Kuttner grew up in Jacksonville, Florida spending most of his time on the beach, fishing, and running the shoreline.  At a young age he began training in the martial arts style of Tae Kwon Do, earning his first black belt at 14, and becoming the World Champion in his age group at the age of 17.

As an instructor in Tae Kwon Do, Sean taught children as young as 3 self defense and adults ages 80 and above a gentler way of fitness.  When Sean graduated high school, he enlisted into the United States Army, deploying to Iraq twice.  Once as an infantryman team leader, leading security details and small scale personnel extraction.  Sean was also sought out for military fitness regiments to allow his fellow soldiers to succeed in monthly personal fitness tests.

Once Sean’s contract was completed, he strived to continue finding a way to get people back to a life they could appreciate.  He learned of Physical Therapy and began his studies in Kapio’lani, Hawaii to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.  While in Hawaii, he was selected to conduct a clinical internship at the Rehabilitaion Hospital of the Pacific.  Once completed, he was offered a job working with patients suffering from subacute neurological deficits: spinal cord injuries, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries.  He also has a background in treating general reconditioning, orthopedic deficits, and post amputation.

Sean and his wife moved to Colorado for a new sense of adventure and to be more accessible to their family.  They and their dog, Potato, are learning how to survive in the snow and extreme heat.  They are learning to and looking forward to skiing, snowmobile rides, high desert hikes, and all the secrets the Western Slope has to offer.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant and Personal Trainer, Sean provides a wide range of expertise in carrying out programs for patients/clients with orthopedic conditions and neurologic conditions. Additionally, he coaches for FIT Grand Junction's Balance and FIT classes, founded the FIT to Defend self defense program, and offers professional coaching.
